St Wilfrid’s Staff Feel The Pain

To Raise Money For Charity

 

 

Eight brave male members of staff along with one sixth form student, volunteered to endure the pain of having their legs waxed all in the name of charity!

The staff members agreed to help raise money for her worthy cause by agreeing to have their legs waxed .  Tickets were then sold for £1.00 to staff and students to watch their brave teachers  experience painful hair removal.

The Leg Waxing event managed to raise £282 for the Phab Kids, a charity a fellow teacher, Miss Griffiths, is raising money for by running the London Marathon.    Phab is a national charity dedicated to promoting and encouraging the coming together, on equal terms, of disabled and non-disabled people to achieve an integrated and inclusive society.

Miss Griffiths commented, " I would like to say a big thank you to all the brave men who offered their services along with their glamorous assistants!  I would also like to thank all the staff and students who sold tickets, who helped on the door and who paid to come and watch!  It is an amazing amount to have raised which is for a really worthwhile cause."
