St Wilfrid’s Celebrate Under 14 Netball Squad

League Win!

St Wilfrid’s Under 14 Netball Squad have won the Crawley Netball League 2009/10.  After playing each school in Crawley they only had one loss by one goal.  Our successful team had to face playing in adverse weather conditions and put it an amazing effort  as a squad working together when injuries struck players.

Mrs Harrison, PE teacher, comments, “I was really impressed with the squads outstanding commitment to each other along with an amazing team spirit.  This is the 4th year in a row that St Wilfrid’s have won this category and I am immensely proud of all their effort.”

The squad consists of Captain Faye Connolly, Niamh Slatter, Sophie Pritchard,  Laura Hennessy, Simona Volpe, Fleur Neau-Gaterell, Leanne Usagi, Alicia Constable, Tamsin Fitzgerald, and Elouise Lyons.

St Wilfrid’s other Netball squads are also faring well this year.  Our Under 15 squad just lost out on winning the Crawley League to Holy Trinity.  The squad won all their games but lost out on goal difference.

Our Under 13 squad have won all their matches so far and have one game outstanding.  The squad won the League last year as Under 12s and are hoping to repeat their success this year.
