Christmas comes early to St Wilfrid's in
EduPrint's Christmas Card Challenge
Year 7 enjoyed a visit from business partner
EduPrint’s magnificent purple EduBus
in a recent Enterprise Day. The
challenge for the day was to bid for the school’s Christmas Card contract,
designing a pack of cards, creating a marketing plan and working out the profit
and loss of their business proposal.

EduPrint took companies of students on tour of the EduBus,
showing them different styles of marketing, from badges and stickers to posters
and flyers, and the costs associated with them.
Some quick mental arithmetic was required as students worked out how much
multiple flyers would cost, and worked these figures into their budgets.

Martin Ebbage, our business partner from EduPrint, was impressed with the
quality of presentations done by Year 7.
“I was blown away by their presentation style. Their confidence and clarity was
amazing, and for students just starting secondary school it was really
impressive.”

So although Christmas came a bit early to St Wilfrid’s this
year, the day was both fun and productive.
“I learnt how to use Microsoft Publisher, and how much it cost to
advertise things. I also learnt what
a market was, and how to aim things at them,” said one student. “The EduBus was brilliant!” said
another, “I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it was really interesting!”
Many thanks to be EduPrint for supporting this Enterprise Day
at St Wilfrid’s.
