A Level Results an Inspiration
St Wilfrid’s are celebrating their best ever
A Level results from their Sixth Form students, with a significant increase on
last year’s average point score.
“The fact that these results show such a significant increase
on last year’s already fantastic results is inspiring,” says Jonathan Morris, Headteacher. “I am delighted with the excellent
results achieved by the students.
This represents their hard work and dedication, as well as that of their
teachers. As a specialist Business &
Enterprise with Ethics school I am particularly delighted with our Business
Studies results which are 88% A-C grades”
At A2 level, Edward De Quay and Anna Byrne-Smith both
achieved 3 grade A’s thereby securing their Oxbridge places, and Katrina Gadsby
succeeded in attaining four A grade.
The overall pass rate was 99%, which exceeds the national pass rate of 97%. 71% of students achieved an A-C
grade.
The AS results were no less impressive. Up a remarkable 15% from last year’s
already fantastic results, students were thrilled with their achievements.
Congratulations to the students and their teachers, who show
what hard work and dedication can achieve!
