St Wilfrid's Last Stand Reunion Evening

 

As you may be aware, St Wilfrid's Catholic School is in the process of having a brand new school built which will be opening in February 2009.  After this date the original school will finally close its doors and will be sadly demolished.

    

St Wilfrid’s would like to take the opportunity to invite all past pupils, parents and staff to a special fundraising evening to celebrate our memories and to bid farewell to our old school building. 

The Last Stand Evening will be held on Saturday 13th September 2008 from 1930 until 0030.  We shall be using our large school hall and a marquee is being hired for the occasion.  A display of memorabilia will be on display along with boards for guests to display their own memorabilia.  We will be providing a Hog Roast along with vegetarian option and there will be a live band, London Soul,  to dance to along with a well stocked, well staffed licensed bar.  There will also be the opportunity to wander the grounds and perhaps visit your favourite old classroom.

 

The evening will be focussed on the enjoyment of catching up with friends and sharing memories and paying respect to a place that mattered greatly to us at one stage in our lives.  The evening will have a smart/casual dress code and tickets for the event will be £25.00 each with all profit from the evening going towards our new school chapel and Partnership Learning Centre which unfortunately cannot be funded by the government in our building project.
