March's Exemplary Students

Student of the Week Award
W/C 3rd March
Jacob of 7RD was chosen for "all his hard
work during the production of Wind in the Willows. He was the only year 7
to be involved and worked very hard".

Student of the Week Award
Abigail of 8ND, was selected by her tutor "for all her
efforts in performing in Dancetime. Abi deserves praise for doing that as
I feel it's outside her comfort zone!

Student of the Week Award
Kye of 9RC, was nominated for this award for "his
improving attitude towards many aspects of his work and becoming more
conscientious as a result. He displays great diligence in and around the
school and a thoroughly amenable personality."

Student of the Week Award
Craig of 10OC was chosen for being "an outstanding
student with regards to his ability to juggle extra-curricular and in-class
activities and responsibilities. He is always polite and cooperative and
has a mature attitude to his school life."

Student of the Week Award
Elora of 7IC, who was chosen for "always being happy
to help, brightening the year group with her cheery nature and for making an
excellent start to her time at St Wilfrid's."

Student of the Week Award
Jake of 8ND was nominated by his tutor "for improving
his attendance and his incredibly positive attitude and exemplary behavior at
the Forest Schools project each Tuesday."

Student of the Week Award
Neil of 9TF who was selected for "being able to
demostrate a sense of committed dedication to his studies. He is
conscientious and industrious in most subjects and appears to enjoy putting
effort into what he does in order to acheive a worthwhile result. Neil is
noted by his tutor as a good all round "team player" who contributes
wholeheartedly to his tutor group activities by organising others and
encouraging them to play an active part. Neil is most amenable and
trustworthy and a pleasure to teach."

Student of the Week Award
Laura of 10SF was the "first student to volunteer to read at the Year assembly." Her
tutor adds, "she is a positive and exemplary role model for her peers and is a
focused and ambitious student."

Student of the Week Award
Aoife of 7GB was nominated by her Year Head "for her
exemplary behaviour in lessons and around the school. Aoife is always
willing to help and has a very mature approach to all her studies. She is
a student that sets a very good example to all those around her."

Student of the Week Award
George of 8AA "a role model student, who always gives
100% in his studies and helps his fellow students. George plays a
supportive role in his Tutor group and always take a pride in his uniform.
An outstanding student!", comments his Tutor and his Head of Year.
Tahleel of 9HB who was selected by her tutor who
comments "Tahleel is able to demonstrate a sense of committed dedication to her
studies. She is conscientious and industrious in most subjects and appears
to enjoy putting effort into what she does in order to acheive a worthwhile
result. Tahleel was an ethusiastic participant in the recent school
production of Wind in the Willows and gave a great deal of time and energy to
the dance programme included in the play and will I hope continue to lend her
talents in further productions. Tahleel is a keen and regular member of
the year nine netball team. She is polite and helpful to members of staff
in lessons and around the school."

Student of the Week Award
Anatasia of 10NB was selected as "she has consisently arrived at school punctually and in
excellent uniform and is a very positive student in her attitude and
contributions to her Tutor group."

Student of the Week Award
Lynette of 7SF was nominated by her Year Head "for
being a dedicated and committed student who has grown in confidence over the
last couple of months and has shown real strength and aptitude as a friend to
others. Lynette also came up with the idea of Teacher of the Moment which
has now been implemented by Mr Morris"

Student of the Week Award
Aimee-Rose of 8ND who has been selected by her tutor
her "work on the student council and her help with the BE&E interviews.
She also wrote an article for the Crawley Observer which will be an ongoing and
positive move for St Wilfrid's. Aimee is a committed student whoc is
always prepared to give 100% in everything she does." Aimee's Head of Year
also commented "I am proud to say that she is a role model for Year 8!"

Student of the Week Award
Henry of 9SD who has been nomiated by his tutor for a
number of reasons. "He is always punctual and smartly dressed. Henry
is consistently polite in his relationships with staff and students alike; he is
obliging and willing to help, for instance, in opening and holding the door for
others; assisting his form tutor etc. Henry is noted as a conscientious
pupil who is mostly committed to his studies and always attempts to do his best
in order to attain his maximum academic potential."

Student of the Week Award
Rebecca of 10NB who "besides being a smartly dressed, punctual and well-organised student,
Rebecca is also and outstanding role model for her peers with regards to her
attitude towards extra-curricular activities. Rebecca is a successful
athlete and finds time to balance all the demands of her sport and her school
work. She was also instumental in the visit last week of the group of
students from Georgia in the USA and she took on responsibility for the success
of the day with enthusiasm and cheerfulness."
