The approach of half term meant that the time had come for Mr Morris to throw two more Celebration Breakfasts and welcome some more school superstars along to enjoy juice and Danish in his office.

The aim of the Celebration Breakfasts is to recognise and reward the achievements of students who have made that little bit of extra effort in a variety of fields. This can be anything from improved behaviour or excellent personal presentation to charity work, sports success or academic achievement.

As Mr Morris never tires of repeating, "We define success as each individual maximising his or her own potential, not by comparison with others. These Breakfasts are one way of valuing each student as an individual with their own unique contribution to make to the school community. That's why we reward those who have tried hard in a number of areas, because we believe that all gifts should be celebrated and that hard work should always be appreciated."

This half term the breakfast stars were divided into two groups, Key Stage 3 and Key Stages 4 & 5, with the former celebrating on Wednesday and the latter on Thursday. This meant that there was that bit of extra room in the Head's Office to mingle in comfort! Well done everyone.
